They should sound a hell of a lot better than my stupid kenwoods. Skullz Posted May 7, 2013 Report Posted May 7, 2013 Just like any entry level speaker, they aren't good but aren't bad either and will sound good for what you paid for them. MeenGreenAudio Posted May 7, 2013 Author Report Posted May 7, 2013 well i kept the stock locations for the front and back doors but i cut a hole for the rear doors to put the tweeter into. im also going to be dynamating the whole truck inside except the headliner, beacause im going to be custom making a headliner after i install a sunroof. hoping that they will sound good enough for my daily driver. Sunroof rattles are a bitch. I'd rather have a solid roof and put a few layers of damp pro on it. Rattle now bitch... Lol well im not going to be competing with it its a 97 suburban with a 2001 8.1L v8 out of a GMC sierra 2500. kingsuv Posted May 7, 2013 Report Posted May 7, 2013 I have a set of the Access 3 ways, and deleted the 4" from the set up. The tweeter is very smooth, the 6.5 has nice vocal range to it, but don't expect it to drop very low in the midbass. I wasn't too crazy with the x-overs it came with and run mine active. They take a good amount of power, just be smart on how they are set up and used Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out. not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
zxsonnyxz Posted May 7, 2013 Report Posted May 7, 2013 They're allright Sounds decent, does what's expected of a entry level set. I don't like how soft the basket is though. I also think the tweeter is a little bright and loud. I have mine mounted in the A-pillars, with -6db setting on x-overs and I still have to turn the higs down on my HU. That's personal reference though, but something to consider.
