tupic310 Posted May 13, 2013 Report Posted May 13, 2013 i have 2 kicker l7 subs but one is a 4 ohm and the other is a 2 ohm. im about to buy a new amp but im wondering if i could wire both subs to a mono amp, if so, how? i have a slight knowledge on wiring them but i just want to make sure i dont damage anything.

Rmichael91 Posted May 15, 2013 Report Posted May 15, 2013 You shouldn't run two separate subs of different coil configurations together. You can only wire 4ohm with 4ohm, 2ohm with 2ohm. Difference in the impedence, would damage the subs and amp.
