A DC 5k would be my first recommendation. I know old school Precision Power stuff was legit, not sure about the new. Also something that would turn me off is the price. a true 10k amp at .5 ohm for $1200? I think alot of people would be jumping on this if it were true. true i guess ima have to man up and get the 5k

lockdown801 Posted May 29, 2013 Report Posted May 29, 2013 The amp was based on the xxx-12 which doesnt exist. Because the rating were to high when they launched the XXX line they decided to launch it as a PPI-10k. Honestly not a bad amp for the price. Do you homework and you find them pretty cheap. I have one coming in about a week. I am sure this amp will get you the 5k you want. This would be a good amp for Steve to use the AD1 on. If you look on youtube there a few people that are using them. If you are running it in the 14v range you should be able to get in the 6 to 7k range. The DC 5k is a great amp but it looks like it is only reccomended to 1 ohm so you dont want to cook your amp.

The guy who owns the vehicle on the second video was pretty straight forward with me. He said he only had issues with them at 16v but they ran great and he eventually went with a pair of NS-1s which are quite a bit more.
