Amart88
I was out working on my build the other day and I noticed a small wet spot on the floor. Sure enough it was F*@#% transmission fluid dripping from a seal. My grandfather told me it was a "shaft or pto seal" or something and it would cost 600$ of labour to fix... wtf. He also said to try an additive first to see if it will help. Any of you use any of these transmission additives? Thanks. My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled. bassinyerface
Lol well your grandfather is wrong. Its a rear trans seal and it is pretty simple to fix yourself. And if you do take it in. Def not 600 probably like 100-200 and all the additives to is make the viscosity higher thus increasing the thickness and hopefully filling the void where the oil is leaking out of. 2003 f150, 2 ab hd 15 on brutus 2400.1, kinetik batt, big 3, knu wire, image dynamics cxs 6.5 with ppi tweets, pioneer 1din and clarion eq. The leak is more toward the engine though. It's 4x4 too if that matters. 2005 blazer My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.

Pioneerchuck
Its more than likely the rear main seal leaking. very easy to fix. If you do it yourself you're looking at maybe $20 for the seal and then the fluid and new filter for the transmission (you might as well change both while youre down there). I would never try an additive. Edit: However if you dont have the means to fix it right away then yes the Lucas products would probably be your best bet. I use Lucas products every oil change. A little pricey but it does work wonders on an old motor or in your case tranny.

audiofanaticz
I run lucas oil, trans, and fuel stabilizers. Good stuff not doubt. No real issues with my car besides a couple noisy lifters upon starting the engine.
