Its for a guy that installs DishTV and is sick of crawling in and out of his truck bed to grab tools and equipment while still having room to store his step ladders underneath the sliding part. Ended up doing a few additional mods to the design that I was giving which I feel will add more strength so hopefully it works well. This drawer extends about 72 inches (6feet). On average 48inch drawer slides cost $162 per pair, 60inch ones cost around $270. Do they even make a 72 inch drawer slide? How much would that cost? Material cost for the entire sled including the wheels was about $160 This job was offered to me friday evening, and the guy wants it put in today (sunday), chances are of finding any drawer slide that big locally is not happening, plus trying to get him to buy 2 parts that cost more than the entire projects materials of what he seen and wanted is going to be a hard pitch. 3 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I concur.. this looks great ! its a bad look out on a job to be inside ur truck lookin like ur prayin to alah searchin for tools..I built a smaller one a few years back & I believe there is one of these ideas on kickstarter not sure if the dude was successful ,but these drawer slides are in demand .. just to think what meade could do with that cnc ....!
