They cover to the end of the tread. I've had a couple state troopers drive by me and a couple local cops. before i had flaps they would pull me over right when they saw megot our first snow here Damn 50 cal down here they don't say anything. Hell there is 1 truck in my town that has probably only 1 inch of tire under the truck. It's actually pretty stupid if you ask me.
