2003 Kia Sorento Build log (Pair of Team AA 15's in and playing)

Sweet, thanks for the detailed response. Exactly what I was looking for. How did you come up with the 72 Sq in for the port? In my setup I can barely got below 30hz but I'm good up to the high 60's. Want a wider range.

fuck the plating. look at what the main metal used is. you could buy unicorn blood plated terminals but if its just covering up dog shit, whats the point

I'll admit, half way through sanding that fiberglass in the rain and cold while I was all itchy I was definitely starting to question why i was doing this haha

well for the port size, it was back a while ago, but I was trying to get 7 cubes and 30hz tuning with a 10' sonotube, and I did get that but the box didn't fit in the volvo. I then used my knowledge I got from purplesyrup to modify my box to up the tuning to 33hz, on winisd, I inputed my volume, tuning, and port size, and winisd gave up me 0.04 for that current port, and I could tune up to 37hz, and still maintain .04.

So, here's a big update to my goal of reaching 150

Got myself some new amps from a good friend of mine for a steal, 2 Sundown 1500 V3's :)

Gonna run 1 for a while though, till I get a new alt, gonna run 1 to my ivx's, then the xfls when I get them, and when I get a new alt, then 2 of the 1500's strapped at 1 ohm.

I like the xfl's....but since c2 audio is now a partner, and their subs are super cheap, I almost want to take the plunge and take a chance with them. The baskets look beefy as fuck and so do the motors. Really expands the options for budget subs.

I was thinking about C2 as well, especially the Threatcon 4 15's

Much better working on this than the volvo lmao. This is turning out really cool man keep it up.

Yeah, love this thing over the Volvo, more comfortable, faster, safer, everything works, electrical is better, has a frame, just drinks little more gas but I'm fine with that.
