It's gonna be just a daily driver and maybe a few local spl comps but mostly want it to sound good and what size box and port most run for one smd 15? It's going in 05 f150 sc also my current system is one 13w7 on jl slash v2 and it sounds amazing but wanting more thump if ya kno what I'm sayin and still sound good doing it, I appreciate any comments thanks

Going from what you have now, to what you want, is going to be a BIGGG jump. They are rated I believe for 3500 which is way underrated. Steve himself is running 2 2500's on each of his and thy are the v1's. I remember even seeing Audiofanataicz I believe running one on 10k daily. They can take ower, but I wouldn't suggest anything close to 10k unless you relaly know what your doing. Throw it on 5k and call it a day. As far as box specs, no idea there.Hopefully someone else can give you that info.

I'll admit, half way through sanding that fiberglass in the rain and cold while I was all itchy I was definitely starting to question why i was doing this haha

The v2s will PROBABLY have a higher rms rating than the v1s. 5k is a safe number to start out with power wise.

When I ran a single smd (18) I had it in a 6+\-cube box at 32-34 hz.

You said f150 sc. Is that Single cab or Super Crew?

SMD subs are tall fuggers.

Which is? On the smd v2

not quite sure since specs haven't been released yet.

The SMD is a beast sub. But the old "if you have to ask" mentality still applies.

Stick with RMS

Even more important than how much power you plan to run is what you've done for electrical. If it's not up to par you may only end up running 500 watts

I ran a 9k on one for a few weeks it eats power like there is no tomorrow

And didn't they say the rating was going to go up on v2?

Who knows what the new one'll take...

i shook this one kids hand and it just folded in mine. long story short i fucked his girlfriendso.. yeah..
