skittlesRgood
I would stop resetting it. it should figure out that the battery is fully charged pretty quickly and go into float charge but you're basically just over charging the batteries every time you do that. Quote If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood. Nathan @ XSpower
If your charger is in green, then it should be in maintenance mode. If you have a bank or there is a small draw, then when you turn it off and back on it may go amber for a second or two and then go back to green. Best is to just put a clamp on the charger positive cord when it is in green and see what it is doings. Should be low 13v range and around 1-3amps depending on where it is in the cycle. Airborne
on a good float charger batteries can last years. I have some powersonic batteries on a Redipulse, that have been on there for like 3 years. I pulled them off for a couple weeks to see how well they held up and they sat over 13v... For what it's worth: I spoke with Kyle. I don't think his charger is working properly, It will charge at ~13.5, then drop into float mode at some voltage below the battery resting votlage Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
n8ball2013
The charger will kick off and stay ornage if you have a batt issue too. I know it would do that before I took out the bad abtt. Its in the manual Quote THERE IS NO BUILD LOG! 1998 Chevy Silverado ext cab Alpine CDA-9887 4 Team Fi 15s 2 Ampere Audio TFE 8.0 2 Ampere Audio 150.4 3 Digital Designs CS6.5 component sets Dual Mechman 370XP Elite alternators inbound! 8 XS Power d3400 6 XS power d680 Second Skin Stinger Tsunami Wiring Sky High A Real Voltmeter not a piece of shit stinger. Nathan @ XSpower
The tech line is 888.497.7693. They can talk you through the issue and possible problems. They can also get you an authorization to send the charger in if there is an issue with the charger.
