Why do I keep killing battery's?!

Recommended Posts

Okay.. First off I have a 2003 jeep Grand Cherokee

Stock Alt

Big 3

Knu CCA although

AQ2200.1

Now, I had 2 1400 Kinetic battery's.. One as a starter and one in the back.

The one in the back after a month stopped holding a charge and would only hold a charge to about 11.5v.. So I put my old starting battery in and out the 1400 starting battary in the back.. Now the back battery is only holding a charge to 12.1

Why does this happen? Ground Issue? Not enough power?

Charge them before trying to look at anything else. Every other day ;)

Have you also checked your power cable running from under the hood to the back? Maybe you melted the fuseholder or something and the back one isn't really being charged...not that that's happened to me or anybody else recently...peepwall.gif.pagespeed.ce.8qvPVxl3av.gif

But seriously, check your connections and make sure nothing's loose/arcing
