David Bailey
Hey, quick question. Is there a big difference between welding cable and OFC cable? I know, CCA is inferior, but I have seen people use wading cable in their instals. Reason I ask is because I have come across some on E-bay at reasonable price and might use it as my power from front to back. Omega5002
They are both pure copper, just welding cable isn't as flexible and you need 2/0 to have it compare to good CA wire, but it's cheaper. The jacket isn't made for underhood applications, so if you use it for that, use wire sleeve to protect the wire. 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)

Ok, well I am thinking about running it under my car, along the frame, so flexibility should't be an issue. I am thinking the 1/0 should be good for me, as I am only running about 2000 total watts. My plan is to run a smaller battery in the back, and this would be my battery to battery cable. CJ18
The 1/0 welding wire is equivalent to an over sized 4ga or 2ga wire. Honestly I would stay away from it. At a bare minimum 2/0 welding wire or get a quality OFC 1/0 wire.
Dd9515 king
Or you can get the 4/0 welding wire for about the same or less then some audio wire. Im runing that for the easy long runs. I will use audio wire for the tight corners and into the amps just to look good.
