newls1 Posted October 27, 2013 Report Posted October 27, 2013 As some of you "senior" SMD members and the CHAT locals may have known, the last 2 years of my life have been very hard on me due to getting "let go" from my 4 yr career job at my prior 911 ambulance service company due to drama reasons. Ive had quite a few odd and end type jobs in the past 2 yrs but nothing at all stable or enjoyable.... just a job and hated going to it. I have obviously applied to all my 911 ambulance companies around here and even emergency transport services (non 911 aka granny totes) services and to no avail. I just got a job at a steel plant in atlanta (2 weeks ago) and it is actually the worst job in my life, but as the other horrible jobs ive had in the past 2 yrs, its paying the bills so i keep going with it. OK, now on to today....... 2 weeks have gone by, and here is where the good news starts: This past Saturday i got a letter that ive been waiting for 1 1/2 for and it was the "you've been selected" type letter and a congrats that i have been selected to test for physical agility for my local fire dept and crossing fingers that i do well on that and the written test and become a firefighter! I was happy to get that letter needless to say. Then over the past week, ive had several ambulance services call me to setup interviews to get back on a ambulance. Best one of the bunch is that my old service that i worked 4yrs at, went OUT OF BUSINESS and was bought out by another service, and they called me this past friday on my way to the gym and i setup an interview with them for this up coming week. SUPER SUPER happy about that, as if i can get back on with them, i dont have to learn all the roads (IN AND OUT) for another county as i already know all of them for this county.. Huge plus! So all in all, its just amazing that my luck is hopfully changing for the better FINALLY and hopefully this xmas season will be enjoyable as i can give gifts and not feel horrible that i cant buy anything for family and friends. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream. oh lawd.
