how would YOU make $100,000 make you more money?

Recommended Posts

if you lived in California (san diego specifically) and you were given $100,000 and you wanted to use that money to make you more money how would you do it?

i ask because a good friend of mine is about to get a good size inheritance and i would like to see him do something with it besides just living good for a minute. it would be great to see him use this money as a boost to get his life going in a good direction...

I would put half in the bank, half in a big ass safe in the house and not spend a dime. Keep on living like I never even got it. That way if this country implodes on itself like it is almost already, I got money to live on... even if the banks fail. Never put your eggs in one basket.

Half in an intrust bearing account. Invest the other half in gold, oil and land. These are top 3 investments in America for over a 100 yrs. And tell your friend, i'm fn jealous.

Only problem with that is it won't make you more money and if the banking system implodes that paper money will be 100% worthless.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

Live in San Diego....100K...want to make more money?

Hmmm, thinking any combination of Drugs, hotel rooms, hookers and a camera could make you some solid returns.

Now that I got that out of the way...I would sincerely recommend investing the money in a CD (DIY Option) or consult with a financial planner.

$100000 for an investor. Do not waste your money for an investor. It would be different if you were investing large amounts over time. Your banker should be able to

Guide you on investing 100000.

Invest in my company, problem solved. lol

Honestly, read a book called Rich Dad Poor Dad.

The basic idea is that the way poor people think is that when they come in to money, they want to buy all the things they ever wanted. Big House, nice car, take vacations etc...

Those that think they are smart will say the house is an asset. That is wrong, a house can only be an asset when it is sold for profit. If you live in the house or is just sits there, it costs money and is a liability.

The way a rich person thinks when they come into money, is how can they spend it on something that will bring in more money continually. So instead of buying a big house to live in or even buying a house to flip, buy a house to rent out. Or buy an apartment building or a hotel.

The key is patience. Instead of splurging to get what you want NOW, spend to get security and increase your wealth. Then you can get what you want later and still have money coming in.
