They gave me policy number an told me i don't have rental insurance, so my best buddy let me borrow his truck sense he just had surgery. I was told all lift kit an money put into truck is a lost. I know it makes you sick, it would make me have the same response as Ken, I'd cry like a girl. You ARE ALIVE, that's a blessing though. I'm sorry about your hand, you got it treated I assume? As far as insurance goes, list everything you had and you'll be surprised as to what they may actually end up covering for you. I know that's probably NOT what you're thinking right now but I'm just giving you a heads up. LIST everything and see what happens. Receipts may help if they ask you. Your truck is home, they know that, they're going to try to make you happy you're insured through them(hopefully) P.S. I pay an extra like 3-4 bucks per month for an additional $5K in stereo equipment. Well worth it in my opinion. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

Fire extinguisher is definitely a good addition to a vehicle pushing that much current with that much wire. In the future check with your insurance company. Many have comprehensive plans that would cover equipment in this situation as well as theft. Its usually doesn't add much to your premium. 20-30 a month. At least you made it out ok. Especially as fast as vehicles can light up like you said "smoke to full blaze in seconds". Dan2427 Posted December 29, 2013 Report Posted December 29, 2013 I second what cleansierra says, I crashed my R1 and paid 6800 for it and they gave me 9300, well 8800 after deductible. And when I hit a deer in my honda they gave me extra for my JDM bumper/fog lights etc. never had receipts for any of it! So make sure you right down what was in there!
