OrionStang Posted January 8, 2014 Report Posted January 8, 2014 So, after many issues with our MINI Countryman S, the wife and I decided it was time to trade it, before the warranty expired. Decided on a few she liked last night, and this morning went to go look. Stopped at Kia first to see the Forte5 turbo. We were told its not available yet and they couldn't even give us a rough date. Stopped in at Hyundai to check out the Elantra GT, doesn't look real nice in person. My wife spotted the row of Velosters and we wandered over, and of course so did a salesman. SHe told him she wanted Silver, auto, and the turbo. He took us way out to the back of the dealership, and sure enough there was one just delivered. Wife had to go to work, but I snuck back later to the dealership and did the paperwork. She knows she's getting it, but will never expect to see it parked at home when she gets off work. SHould make her very happy. Sorry for the long story. My poor attempt at a bow. LOL Im not a huge fan(looks better than expected though), but she likes it. The stock stereo sounds hella good, plus nav, rearview cam, and stuff like GPS tracking and access to an app that lets us start the car, turn on the climate controls, and set a "perimeter" warning(you can set a boundary and get an alarm if the car leaves it;like if you leave your car with Dad, and don't want him to drive it). Then there was $1500 worth of dealer options (window tint, paint protection, nitrogen fill) that I got thrown in. $500 military discount and $500 instant rebate. They gave us $18k for for the MINI without even seeing it (its at the shop for warranty work) LMAO, the dude is going on vacation tomorrow and just took my word on the condition of the car and options. Not gonna argue that. I was disappointed with my credit score and APR, however, I somehow lost a few points since my last check. Anyway, payment is less than before, for a better vehicle IMO. I think the front looks great, the back has to grow on me, but wifey likes the look. There is an aftermarket for them though, look sick with the right body kit (wide body).
