Prefer to work on your car/build alone, or with a friend?

Recommended Posts

I don't mind working with people but I mainly work alone. As of right now my wife and I are working on her car so she can appreciate the work it takes to get the job done. She's been taking weeks to choose what wire she wants lol

I like working with my 12 year old nephew, or one of my best friends who knows his shit. Anyone else i would prefer to be alone

I prefer working with my buddies. For one it is more fun for me to work at chat as long as we still get stuff done. Also the extra help always makes the job easier and go faster if the help knows what they are doing and my friends do. The biggest thing is though is that I like having people there to bounce ideas off of and ask for advice. My car was done with both of their help and I am glad they helped me with the entire thing.

Depends on the person, if they know what they're(or im) doing then alls cool come help me, but if you have no clue than stay out of my way and we can talk while I work.

Alone.. Reasons why..

1) Like Justin said, talking. More talking = less progress

2) If someone is going to fuck up anything with my car, Id like it to be me

3) I have a good idea on how I want shit done, and don't want anyone else to feel the need to argue. If I want someone else's input, Ill ask in my group chat.

4) At home at least, I don't trust anyone else with car audio. Maintenance and performance are a different story though

Ohh.. one exception is my little 8yr old brother. He doesnt do much at all, but love his company.

Great topic! I dont have a garage and summers are usually to busy to get much done so majority of my work gets done in the winter at my brothers garage while he gone on business or vacation. At which time i have to put in like 18+ hr days to bust a bunch of work out. So alone with some tunes and cases of energy drinks are my best tools. It nice to have to old lady or my son bring me a hot meal and say hi. I hate it when people want to call and chat it up while i am in the groove.

Plus i like it done a certain way(my way) and i dont know anybody with as much or more knowledge to be of any help.

SMD is my idea platform, my knowledge and being in the zone i can bust some shit out quick!

I'd take my dad next to me over anyone else. Very few people I can work with and get along with.
