What do you get when you mix 2 Different Fuses and a 500 Degree Oven?

Fun testing for today. It took only 8 mins to deform and bubble a traditional plastic fuse at 500degrees, which isn't unrealistic under the hood of a car audio application. I have been seeing fuses melted over the past few months, that failed due to the plastic housing. As you can see our new ceramic cased fused is unharmed. We will be offering these in 50a-500a in about 2 weeks.

That's tight. I've always thought that typical anl fuses were kinda plasticy flimsy. I'll keep my eye out for the official release of these.

last show, it was 102 degrees. I played for 9 straight hours.... I actually COOKED the coloring off one of my ALT pulley caps... NO shit.... that fucking hot.

500 degrees cooks a pizza in 12 minutes. People melting fuses have a poor connection and are generating heat from that. If your engine compartment is 500 degrees your fuses are the least of your troubles.
