OrionStang Posted August 20, 2014 Report Posted August 20, 2014 Criticism is not bashing. If someone points out a flaw, that flaw can either be defended, or a change should be considered. Not just for Joe X, but anybody and their projects. Hell, i'd rather have someone tell me what im doing could be better, if it really will. Especially if that criticism is coming from a person with way more real-world experience. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
aculous Posted August 20, 2014 Report Posted August 20, 2014 So critiscm is different from just being a jackass. So Hugh isn't saying everytime he mentions a flaw a fix for said flaw. Oh well. Sack up and figure it out. Its not EASY but then again I don't know that anything is anymore. Joey or any of these people could hit up Hugh and ask him why or talk to anyone else in here and ask them why. Stop crying christ, man up and do the research if you need some direction hey guess what this may not be the best place for some hand holding. There are 1000000000 different calculators too that could do what he is doing...try them out and ask if they meet your needs, if people see you trying to put in the work then they're more likely to help you get to the end goal instead of doing it for you. Calm down princess you're going to be ok. And so is Joey. (waiting to be flamed)
aculous Posted August 20, 2014 Report Posted August 20, 2014 Also just to put my money where my mouth is. I posted a new thread that has some of the calculators that I have used in the past. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/190625-enclsoure-calculators/

I have paid one box design and the rest of the time done my own designs. I have also thrown several box designs up for people to pick apart. More people should try using a calculator and than ask for help instead of asking for something free. I just think more positive criticism is the way to go. And at the sametime JoeX has made lots of people happy. If someone wants a guarantee a box will be perfect for their build, then they should pay for that design. 2 Team Fi 15's v1 2 DD M5's 970amps of Alt 6th order blowthroughThe truck Blowthrough build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/155555-smooves-1996-chevy-ext-cab-c1500-slow-build/The 350z build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/170694-smooves-2003-nissan-350z/ My FB page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Smooves-Car-Audio-and-performance/719746144805343 Team Fi Audio http://www.ficaraudio.com/
Jessica Posted August 20, 2014 Report Posted August 20, 2014 I agree with doing research but you know I read all 765pages of the 4th order thread on caci plus hundreds of threads here about enclosure design. What I learned? Experience. Build box and rebuild box and rebuild box. You want something better than prefab joex does well. You want to compete or squeeze every ounce out of your system the you are going to have to work your ass off. As far as people talking about joex designs. Why does the op feel the need to defend him? If joe has issue I'm sure he can defend himself. Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside. My super random youtube channel and terrible camera work. I agree with you that being positive works better. I just think a lot of people are lazy. Not saying you personnally. And I was giving you a hard time and saying you were crying because you started the thread.
