juan777
Hey guys, I am thinking about walling my Tahoe some time next year. I have been thru many wall build posts but have yet to find a detailed description on how exactly everyone is securing their walls to their vehicles, OPs usually skim over that or just don't mention it. Pics and full descriptions would be awesome, specially if you have a 99-06 Tahoe. will77530
when we build walls we try to bolt to as many factory locations as possible and tend to glass to the vehicle as well, for your first wall i would strongly suggest you look for help from someone with more experience
juan777
Yes I'll try to snake my way into helping anyone building a wall before this so I can get some experience under my belt beforehand. TeamHT
I glued the bottom to the vehicle with pl premium Built up off that Sides are glassed over wheel wells, pretty tight fit there. Top is put up than expanding foam between it and roof Pretty secure There is no set way, but for a beginner I would say the above post is choice. Get a couple layers glued down and then just build on top of that, super easy. Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
4bannger
Well I'm building my c pillar wall outside of my vehicle and then sliding in it. Mainly because is a daily and I did not want it all taken apart for a long period of time. I plan on making a platform with 2 3\4 pieces of MDF stacked together and bolting that down with heavy duty bolts and washers. And then I'm gonna insert the box which will sit on top on the plat form and the use a bunch of 3" lsg bolts from inside the box into the platform. This is just a concept so far. I'll post pictures and details on my build log for you once o get to that step
