I made a platform out of 2x4's, which was screwed and glued together with PL premium, and the platform is bolted through the floor with 6 3/8" bolts. Bottom of box is screwed to platform (a lot of big, heavy duty screws).

Well I'm building my c pillar wall outside of my vehicle and then sliding in it. Mainly because is a daily and I did not want it all taken apart for a long period of time. I plan on making a platform with 2 3\4 pieces of MDF stacked together and bolting that down with heavy duty bolts and washers. And then I'm gonna insert the box which will sit on top on the plat form and the use a bunch of 3" lsg bolts from inside the box into the platform.

This is just a concept so far. I'll post pictures and details on my build log for you once o get to that step

My wall slid in through the back of my suburban. Slid it in directly on the carpet and bolted it to the floor in 4 places with 3/4" bolts and 3" diameter washers.

When I took it all out, you could not tell the vehicle ever had a wall.

Current system:

1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz.

Did you weld the frame yourself or did you get it done? If so, where would one go to get something like this built?

No I don't weld. A buddy knew a guy that was in the national guard with him that use to do aero space welding for NASA. So he did it in his free time.

You can look into machine shops or any place that builds stuff like trailers or like a powder coating place. Thats a good place to start and if they dont do it maybe they can point you in the right direction.

New build coming........

Contact Dean at Black Widow Training Gear (located in NY). He mostly builds fitness equipment (heavy duty items like squat racks, etc.) but if you give him the dimensions and design you need, he can build it - it's a small company but the welding that comes out of that place is top notch. I have a few pieces of his equipment and they take a beating.

If your looking for a welder then you need a metal fabricator. His time won't be cheap either.

Thanks alaskanzx5 I might just do that
I can recone a sub myself. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows

came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream.

oh lawd.
