2nd run of 1/0?

I say another positive run not worth it. Ground run might be worth it depending on what you're doing for grounding now. Just IMO of course.

Im not trying to steal the thread but I just got a Mechman 370 and have the same Amp so I'll add another run given 1/0 is only rated to 350 before it burns and I want to be safe....not to mention I'm wiring to 0.5 Thanks for helping me out Forum Thugs

^this! not trying to steal as well. but im in a real similar situation...big three 1/0 ofc, singer 200a, d3400 under hood, one in rear, considering a second run. running two X10s on saz3500 @ 1 ohm (might pick up a saz5000, which would alter things substantially I would think) the 3500 would have to have a dual input, but that's no big deal...and i'm a lil confused on the whole running another ground so..I guess just add up the total amps needed Vs. how many I can offer/ whats lost in the run? ???

The amp has dual 0 gauge imputs.

I, d do it2 runs. A lot of people gave you great advice. But a second run doesn't cost that much. After all the money you dropped on the rest of your system. Why chance it? imho?

To be safe, if you're pulling more than 200-250 amps, add an additional ground before you go adding more power runs.

In truth with this small system a 0 gauge ground run to the batt would hurt the voltage. The cars frame is a better ground on small system,and the car has a steel frame

under 4000 watts. Most of what I've said I learned from Tony Candela and Tony D, two Car Audio Gods.

In the op case I'd run a second ground to the frame to match the second run of pos from the batt, that's pretty much standard.

If you do run a 2nd run id try to get the same brand wire for ocd reasons, but also for its size reasons.

Also make sure that your 2nd run is the same exact length as your 1st run.

If one wire is longer than the other, the shorter wire will have the path with least resistance and will be used more than the longer wire and that longer wire most of the times, unless that shorter wire is at its max capacity.
