Have you ever shot a .22 it's like shooting a pellet gun no recoil at all a 5yo can handle it no problem matter of fact they have shooting comps for kids that age. And no shit a child with a gun needs adult supervision. i have shot a .22. i have shot plenty of weapons. you can still kill or injure someone badly with a .22 and a well placed shot. i dont think a 5 year old is old enough to know that the gun is not a toy and know the consequences of messing up. There cant be accidents with guns otherwise this happens. there is a huge difference between a 9 year old and 5 year old. I remember when is was around her age my dad let me and my older sister fire some mac 10's which use .45 rounds. Only difference is that he stood behind us and held us so we wouldnt screw up and kill someone.
