85buickrivi
Hello everyone im putting together a system for my mini truck i currently have (2) 12 MB Quart RLP304 shallow mount subs im looking to run the MB Quart Onyx OA1100.5, subs say there 300 RMS each, This amp says subs 2 ohms @ 500 x1 , question #1 is would this amp be stable 2 be ran at 1 ohm and would it push those (2) 12s????? Edit also would it be enough power to run them both? i just would like to run 1 amp for my whole system due to limited space (mini truck and its single cab) http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_67855_MB-Quart-OA1100.5.html http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_19606_MB-Quart-RLP-304.html
boom50cal
I honestly wouldn't trust that amp to handle 1 ohm on a substage. It would be a bit more pricey, but a lot more reliable, maybe even a smaller foot print, to run say a Rockford PBR500x1 for the subs and a PBR300x4 for the components. LT.Smoke
Check out memphis belle.. They have a 5 channel amp with a dedicated sub channel and 4 channel.. I use one and its great Team MaxRetribution Si Vis Pacem Parabellum Id rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6 Bowhunting- Life Begins and Ends at Full Draw Bowhunting Team Fatal Trajectory Hunt Team http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/49335-sick96vtecaccords-t-line-build/?hl=sick96vtecaccord << Accord Build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/68498-smokedout08impalas-tline-build/?hl=+sick96vtecaccord << Impala T-line build Rebassed.com for all your music needs 👌

gckless
What's the budget here? The two mentioned above are great. For a lower budget, this Soundstream looks pretty decent: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_79512_Soundstream-TA5.1250.html "Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now. 85buickrivi
umm really dont have a budget just but if i was to say 3 to 400 range. I wanted to keep all the same stuff i know its not high quality stuff just need a lil bump in my mini truck tired of running around with just the highs screaming i heard of the memphis belle might look into that, also would this work, and how good would it be? if i was to run these 2 amps this amp for the subs ran at 1 ohm http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_67858_MB-Quart-OA750.1. and this amp for the highs (4) powerbass 4xl 6.5 i would bridge the amp to two channels 2 on each channel bridged http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_67853_MB-Quart-OA800.4.html
RainStryke
That MB Quart amp isn't even CEA compliant... so, it's very likely those RMS ratings are exaggerated. I'd suggest this AMP: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_40253_NVX-JAD900.5.html?SearchClickout[query_id]=43814713&SearchClickout[ignore]=1 Clean power... 2 OHM minimum on the sub output though. If you really don't care that much and you just want something cheap and works... Just get a Jensen 760.4 http://www.amazon.com/Jensen-Power-760-Car-Amplifier/dp/B00GOFX958/ref=sr_1_12?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1411963683&sr=1-12&keywords=Jensen+amp and some cheap mono block amp... It's going to be like $120+ for a 1 OHM capable amp that is brand new... Why does it have to be 1 OHM?
bcbrassard
Should be able to get both PBR amp for around $400. Sound little amps, I had a PBR300x4 new lying around for a couple yrs and didn't use because I was building a all Power series build so I installed it in my brothers Ranger pushing 4 Punch 683s and they got loud and sounded great for 6x8s. P4killer_
http://www.zukiaudio.net/index.html Very under rated, so do not rely on the posted wattages. Just a question here bc it doesn't make any sense to me. Idc if their goods amps, prolly are w.e But isnt that just weird to rate an amp like 10w x 1 channel at 8 ohm?? Like lets say its does ohhh idk 300w at 1 ohm.. Thats like not even in the same universe as 8w though.. forget very, thats like not even remotely close out of this world who the heck typed that how many pushups can chuck norris really do underrated. Lol I just was like eh whaaaaa?
