Thanks for the positive feedback dudes!! I'll surely pass this along to him and I know he'll be thrilled to hear that.

I agree with the colors looking nice as well. What's funny is green isn't necessarily his fav color or anything. He just chose it for the build and it matched the SoundQubed stuff well. There is paint on almost EVERYTHING. The headliner was even painted black.

Ch0sen, the jeep did not come with any factory amps. We are using a SoundQubed Q4-120 amp on the mids and super tweeters. They have since discontinued that amp have replaced it with a smaller, 90-4.

As for any future plans/upgrades.. I keep mentioning how sweet it would be to add another Q1-1200 in there but he hasn't got on board that train yet. He is thinking about replacing the factory shit batt with a XS equivalent though.

I'll try to get some vids soon. It's starting to get cold though and when it gets cold I turn into a hermit.

Edit: About the box. Yea it's really tall. Ideally it would have been about 4 inches shorter to line up with the tops of the seat backs but this was a suprisingly tight squeeze. It's not a very big SUV at all so this is what we ended up with. Initially I wanted to fire the port backwards but no way in hell was that going to work. That back hatch really 'juts' inward and it's almost touching the back of the box.

I recently just finished a build for a buddy of mine. He has a 2014 Jeep Patriot altitude edition and he chose a green theme throughout. The painting was all done by him. I just did the planning and building.

2 SoundQubed HDS315's

1 Q1-1200D

1 Q4-120

2 sets QP-TH25

2 sets QP-MR6.5

The main goal of this build was banging on a budget. He did not want to replace anything electrical (Batt/alt) so that's why I chose the 1200. Surprisingly, the stock alt in this thing is seriously impressive. I think it's around a 140 or something of that nature. Never dips below 13.8 and mostly stays above 14, all with the stock batt.

All wire is OFC

He didn't want the install to take forever so fiberglassing pods for the super tweeters, though necessary for proper placement, was out of the question. Instead, the ONLY place they would fit without having to get crazy is where you see them. Still sounds good for what it is though.

If it were me I would definitely get better electrical before adding another 1200.

Oh, definitely! I won't let him add another amp at all in there without beefing up the electrical.

Sounds great! It get's louder than what he was expecting. Shot in the dark, I'd peg it at a 145-146 ish. There is only one battery in this build and it's the stock one. I'm amazed by the stock alt on it. He's kinda wanting an xs power batt anyways just for the reliability and longevity.

I like it, great job on the install. Proves it doesn't cost a fortune to have a nice setup.

is it louder with the seat down?

Since the box is so tall, it's pretty damn similar with the seats up or down which is really cool in my opinion. It's really hard to tell but generally he leaves them down.

love the colors

Thanks!
