soundstream15
My amp draws 370a and I got 1 run of ofc so I need to add another run. I don't think 1 run is good enough if your pulling over 300a. Yet again, I only got a 170a alt but more wire=less resistance
White Lightning
It is way easier to just ground the rear battery in the rear separately from the front battery. Just my 0.02A dead ground from a battery or bank should go directly to frame or grounding point short run as possible.Say you have a better up front and one in the rear, you need a short ground to frame or grounding point on BOTH battery locations ... Just saying ...and BTW, when I said 2 AWG, I meant larger diameter than the smaller cable than you folks were referring to. Broke_Audio_Addict
With the wiring you have 2 or 3. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. Miguels
looks like cableguy did a typo. its always good to have extra wire and this is why.. resistance creates heat. heat creates voltage drop. having more wire reduces the resistance even if you wont use the wire 100% it will help my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/

This cable is a larger diameter cable than the normal 1/0 cable ... which would be much easier than running multiple smaller cables in tight areas and have the same effect ... Yeah man, everyone is on the same page. The confusion is that you're saying 2AWG, which is smaller than 1/0AWG, and you actually mean 2/0AWG, which is what you have in your truck and is bigger than 1/0AWG. I'm following you, but that's where all the confusion came from in this thread. "Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now. Miguels
2 awg is not larger then 1/0 awg 2/0 awg is. now if you have 2 awg that is larger than 1/0 then its not 2 awg 2 runs of 2 awg are better then 1 run of 1/0 just like 2 runs of 1/0 is better then 1 run of 2/0 my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
gckless
any other suggestions on whether I should do 1 run or 2? What wire are you using? Didn't catch where you said that. You should do 2 runs at a minimum, depending on what wire you're using. "Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now.
