How much really can a 300a DC alt support

I'm going to assume that a 300amp dc alt can support up to 300 amps of power draw.

If you have everything for the alt hurry up and get it installed. Then if voltage drop is more then you feel comfortable with add some batteries.

Info on g ground, power, and big 3 wiring done?

singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.

The answer to voltage drop would be more alt not more batt.

It's good to have a good reserve but that's not what keeps your voltage up, that's the alts job.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

Exactly..

Op your dropping to battery voltage. Adding more batteries will only keep you there longer but actually increase voltage.

Install the dc alt a and see what happens.

I have the same alt Jake, and I'm running 6 big C&D Group 31 equivalent batteries and it keeps up fine on my truck. I'll be adding my Singer 275A as well and I'm not worried about voltage. I'm on a single Sundown SAZ3500 now and will be adding the second here shortly.

On a side note, I'm glad to see you back to SMD with the right mindset.

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

Also, I found these batteries in Peoria, not far from where you live. He's off of Thunderbird and the 101-and he gave me $50 per batt and they are pretty wicked. David is also selling the Kinetik HC2400s for like $210 each he said last night? Don't quote me but you can text him and find out.

I heard your truck sounds good and getting loud.

Ok great!I got exactly what I wanted to know!( Alt power > battery power) thanks guys!! I know my alt will make a big difference for sure but just want to make sure I'm not overdoing on unessary batteries but i will find out once that alt is on!

Thanks Cleansierra! Yea she is getting there ! I'm still breaking in the fresh recones on the mayhems so my gains are way down still so no harm on the amp at all until I get my charging to par! --Thanks also for the heads up on the batteries around town, appreciate it

Kyle was being Sarcastic.

Although people would like to not drop into the 12's, it is very, very common and won't hurt anything.
