SIDE SHOW
but yes, to get the most out of it, it'll need to be setup for your specific room/lighting ect
FrankB
that's like saying... buy a cheaper car from the car yard so someone can tune it for you befor you use it. More like buying a Corvette and having it professionally tuned for track day . It don't need to be but lets see it at its full potential.

Skullz
Most important thing to consider is viewing angle, the higher end tv's will have a much wider viewing angle than the lesser expensive units. As was stated a very good 1080 right now will last a long time until enough 4k content comes out that will be able to take advantage of the higher resolutions as well as equipment to play it on, and one of the current downsides to 4k is the streaming capability of the content as you'll need the highest download speeds your isp has to offer as it will be 4 times the information if not more than 1080 is right now. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
Broke_Audio_Addict
http://referencehometheater.com/2013/commentary/4k-calculator/ That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. kirill007
^^spot on, it can also reduce the life of your tv No it can't, how could it reduce the life of the tv? that's like saying... buy a cheaper car from the car yard so someone can tune it for you befor you use it. Calibrating is easy to do, you don't need any fancy equipment. And almost every tv needs calibration. I wouldn't buy a 4k tv at the moment, buy a well proven full hd tv. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.

Krakin
I have had multiple lg panels and samsung panels. Samsung knows of a little thing called quality control. The shear amount of backlight bleeding from my LG panels is ridiculous... Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.
