Subs getting stinky on low notes

Question here what it mean by the sub getting stinky? I have never experience that with my subs

To me, it smells like burning speaker wires. I've been around a few people that don't have a pair of wire cutters and used a lighter to get the plastic shielding off. Try burning old speaker wires with a lighter.

To it's a mixture between hot brakes and cow manure. Whenever I drive past a farm and smell manure I think "oh fuck" turn it down for a second, than realize it was just shit.

clipping playing WAAAY below tuning? Do you use SSF/infrasonic?

Edit: tune with 0 db tone and see if same things happens. When using DD-1 did you find HU clipping first? Subs wired the same as previous setup? as in are you running amp at 0.5 and subs are getting more (too much) power?

I don't play way below tuning, and I do I do it's at 20hz (set with a CC-1). I'll try that and see... Yeah the h/u doesn't clip, also they're at 1 ohm. And no, they need more power IMO because they don't move too much lol.

Rephrase: I wouldn't be surprised of you observed lesser excursion around tuning but excursion should increase up into the 30s.

They don't move much because you are playing at or near your tuning when your have the problem.
