After cleaning it up I pulled the Pioneer KP500 out of it. Everything worked on it so it's time to do the Restomod! This is from the start of the tear down. She's Nasty!

She should shine like a new penny once I'm done & be able to run a amp as well as accept a Ipod & such!

Awesome work as usual.

Let's see the new guts.

Cause I'm a man of my word I opened it back up gust for you! :spiteful:

The first hack I did on it I hacked into the tape head circuit, but was just to didn't sound all that wonderful to me & it picked up some field noise. SO I redone it. This is the Aux-in side

DSCN0002_zpsw2tlrclb.jpg

It sounded good but this thing uses the same ground for everything! I could notice it not that clear at high volume so I added these 10Kohm resisters from the input in to ground & it cleared it right on up! Sounds great now!!

This is the hook ups for the Aux in

This is the Pre-out side. It had a built in amp just like any other head unit so I hacked into the input side of the factory one for mine.

This was the hack at the amp. I did use a shielded wire for this

I'm self taught at all this so I'm sure there was a better way to go about this but this is how I figured it out! :good:

God damn man. Is there anything you can't do?

Awesome work as per usual.

LOL thanks man! Yeah I can't play a guitar! :fool: Trust me I tried! Wife bought me a killer one with a BAD ASS amp along with some one on one lessons. I failed so bad I handed the instructor my guitar and said "Here you play this!" He said "Why" I said "Cause I don't think the damn thing can PLAY music!" :aggressive: It was a fail for me! LOL

You know my wife loves me! This is my work station! Right here on the kitchen table! Got my laptop hooked up the KP-500 "for music" then the Out-put of the KP-500 is hooked to one of my Ammo Can Boom box's for the sound! SWEET!

About to hook it up to the suitcase in the Wagon to see how it sounds on a much bigger amp.
