tboorn Posted October 1, 2015 Report Share Posted October 1, 2015 6th street is the night life street, lots of bars, and lots of college kids, i dont know how often but i know on some weekends they also have like a local festival/shopping where local people come out and sell little nick nacks they make and what not, its cool to walk around and look at all the wacky shit, thats usually during the day. when exactly are you going to be here?? if you get really lucky you could watch formula 1, its going to be at the circuit of americas of Oct 23-25. Now that is seriously awesome, the track is so beautiful and the racing is top notch, i go every year and will be there this year too. There is also a graffiti district where people are actually allowed to do street art/graffiti with spray paint and they wont take it down. The work there is so awesome. Austin is really like no where else in Texas, the saying is "Keep Austin Weird" and they do a good job.
