Quiet
I still need to do it, but I also need to go through my external HDD and clean that up first so I can back my laptop up before the update. definitely backup first incase something fucks up. But spend the extra time to do a fresh install if you can. Also might be a good time to upgrade your laptop to a SSD. After you upgrade, microsoft will mark your laptop as "windows 10 activated" so you can reinstall on that machine at will without having to put in a key. After you upgrade, maybe remove your old drive, pop in a new fresh SSD and do an install from scratch. SSD is about the best upgrade to a laptop you can do. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. RooTxBeeR
I am in love with windows 10. For my daily computer, I have 5 monitors split between 2 PC's. Windows 7 had absolutely no features to help someone with multitasking across multiple screens. Windows 10 however, has many great features to help with that. As well if you are a gamer, windows 10 allows you to utilize directx12 if your game can use that. I've been waiting for native virtual desktops to show up in windows for a long ass time. Been using it in Linux for at least 10 years. Bout time Microsoft showed up to the party. I was a holdout until about one Friday in August last year, telling myself I'll wait for the bugs to disappear. Installed one machine in my house that day, and by Sunday every machine in the house was 10 lol. That isn't what I was referring too. But that is still a huge step. That allows people with single or dual monitor set ups to multi task greater than what was previously possible. I was referring to how in windows 7, they made it possible to drag a window to the edge of the monitor, to make it half the screen. Well if you have 2 or more monitors, the only parts it could be done to, where the most left and most right sides. Now you can drag to either the left or right side of any monitor to make it take up that half of the monitor. As well when you do that, it brings up a similar screen to the virtual desktops, and allows you to select any other running program (or apps now lol) to take up the other half of the monitor. boom50cal
Its a fuckin shit box dude. Last time I used it was for taking a full repair manual in PDF to my shop to work on a Duramax. It's laggy enough that I couldn't hardly even do that. I forgot the password so I had to wipe it completely, its decent now that its wiped clean On 1/4/2013 at 9:31 PM, HatersGonnaHate said: Wow. 184 posts and I think you're a fucking asshole.
