not really similar vehicles IMO.....the 14 escape is completely redesigned compared to the 04 (mariner and tribute). They may have 2 different peak frequencies which will change the results between the two....more factors like airspace for each box (built specific for those woofers) and what each box is tuned to can screw with the results.

Would be interesting to compare the same vehicle with different sub setups though....I would just leave out the comparison between the vehicles themselves.

That's what we plan is to swap boxes between cars.

Awesome idea, so you are going to compare both boxes in both vehicles? That will be very interesting.

Yes. Definitely swapping both into both vehicles. So there will be differences involved there. Didn't register with me when you first posted that n8ball.

At this point the only huge differences are the recommended specs from each manufacturer for an enclosure. DD recommends about twice the port area and box size overall compared to sundown. And we called each one and explained what we are doing.

Please elaborate on how 2 identical setups in identical vehicles, would perform differently? Also, yes I knew someone would still take this as a vs thread. But they would also be the ones missing the point. The educational, informative, differences between them.
