mbdblue
I do recommend a brace in the box going front to back I was considering it man, but honestly, there's such little space to begin with, and the back and top are gonna be doubled up....tripled if you count the trim panels. If I notice anything, I can always take a sub out and fit a threaded rod through. Buss bars are awesome, great work on the box too, skills are right up there. dash piece looks tits too....enjoying this build...... Thanks a lot man! Magnus Munk
Love that integration of the volt meters.Looks very classy (Y) Will you not flare the port in the other end? mbdblue
Love that integration of the volt meters. Looks very classy (Y) Will you not flare the port in the other end? thank you...I'll be running my chamfer bit to flare the front side of the panel. No progress tonight...kinked out my back at work and then got my teeth hammered on by the dentist.....I did do a lot of staring, and thinking though. Still wasn't 100% on how I wanted to finish it off. I think I may be using a little fiberglass after all. More tomorrow. mbdblue
Hella nice work man!!!! Tuned in for more. Thanks man! small update....damn I have a hard time getting more shit done after work. Before anyone asks, yes I chamfered both sides of the port pieces because I'm an idiot. so here's my next small hurdle. the box is going to sit on a rear "shelf"....mostly because it gets the false floor only 1/2" higher than the stock height, and it raises the box higher then the hinge for the rear seats. Probably where I'll be using glass if I decide to use it....making a big foot to support the rear shelf....please excuse the wiring, its temporary just to have music in the car while I build. Making sure it clears the hinge.... just a test fit.... mbdblue
alright....last weekend went back to NY, so nothing got done....except eating. Then back to the dentist to get fillings and a crown (yay more novocaine) So I finally got back into it today. Not much got done, but little by little.... cleared by around 3/32 or so...Thats the space I'm aiming for the glass to take up... about 4 layers in (2 solid without the leg, 2 more with the leg in). That's as far as I got tonight...Letting it harden up overnight, but I'm betting I'll want the "foot" thicker.
