80 ah jy lithium vs group 31 agms....

Recommended Posts

I have 3 agm group 31s and there ok its just their so damn heavy I calculated some stuff out and came to the conclusion I have around 800 lbs of stereo stuff in my car. I'm thinking about going for a lithium battery....

I have no idea how they compare to agms though I had talked to a guy from xs power at slamology last year about it and didn't really come away from the conversation with any solid knowledge

If I have a 80 ah lithium battery.... how many group 31 agms would that compare to?

I have also though about running a couple banks of supercaps but don't understand the role they should fill in a setup either

how long do lithiums last? I know car batteries are only good for a few years or so, what about a lithium?

I don't think longevity is a issue bro.

Hell I've seen conventional bats shit the bed after a few years even. I like your thinking of JY.

If,.. Let's say WHEN I do lithium, yuey and trav is exactly who I'd speak to

so I pulled 1 group 31 agm and installed 1 79 ah lithium battery. results were pretty staggering. I had 2 digital design m5s at 1 ohm each on mechman 320 2 group 31 agms and 79 ah lithium. it was really holding voltage above 13 great.it took me a long time at idle to get under 13 and down to 12.3-12.5 area id have to say lithiums are pretty badass. got another on the way!
