If I have 2 pieces of copper and one is power coated, how much will the powder coating reduce connectivity ?

And no, don't hand me BLAH BLAH BLAH sand it.

Since powder coat uses a ceramic particulate and curing it puts it over its 'glassing temperature', im willing to bet the coating is an electrical insulator. If you find the product sheet, they may have electrical/mechanical properties listed

Thats a good idea if conductivity isnt lowered. To protect the copper from the elements.

Ive seen small diy powdercoating systems u can buy and do the whole process at home.

It was a hassle trying to get tin plated copper distro bars, and when i got them i wasnt too pleased with the edge quaity. They were stamped not milled, so some edges werent clean cut.

Depends on exactly what you are asking.

Do you plan to connect on top of the coating, or just portions where you have removed or had the coating not put on that spot?

Connecting to something that is powder coated is the same as connecting to something painted, you will have to remove or leave the spot you plan on connecting at clean for the best possible transfer of power.

The conductance of the powder coating itself would be reduced completely. The bar underneath the coating would conduct as a normally un powder coated bar would. Just have the connection points masked so they will still conduct.
