For the money I really like these subs, they have aluminum cones, cast baskets, and 600 watt RMS power handling. They should work well for what I want to do with them. I got out in the spray booth and started putting some shellac on the enclosures to seal up the MDF. Here is one with a coat of shellac and one still bare: I kinda dig the way the MDF and baltic birch look together with just some shellac on them. I have to paint these white to keep my wife happy, but I may just go with the shellaced baltic birch and MDF on some future project. I plan on starting with what it says and then test and adjust from there.
