I think what he means by the amp rack is that you basically made a box for the amp to mount to, however there's nothing in the box that I know of. In most cases an amp rack is much smaller in how much space it occupies. The paint is different, but it's what the owner of the car likes of course. That would be a hell of a sleeper to see the box then BOOM! some lil john BME click start playing through it. as for the amp rack your guys point is correct. i completely see where your coming from with a better explination. the main point behind it being that design was to have more balance (left to right) and paintable surface. so form of function in that case. also i changed from that low life alpine to the nicer zapco halfway thru the project. i had thought about flushing in the alpine. im glad i didn't. Welcome, stick around you might teach us something teach you what how to keep your wife happy? lol this is nowhere near as loud as 95% of the systems on here or what i have had in my own rides in the last 11 years. her car was a "back to basics" system. she wanted music and in full range. also i forgot to mention deck: pioneer premier deh-p700bt mids/highs: memphis 2way 6.5"s with positional tweets and the extrenal crossovers. for a wifes family rig it can't really get much more simple and nice. thanks for all the positive responses!
