I finally get secondary batteries.... wire them together with double runs of 1/0.... then the 7/16 Craftsman wrench slips and falls across the + & - leads.

Arc, Spark, and weld city. In about 1 second the wrench becomes a huge, super-heated fuse. No choice: grab it with hand and YANK the wrench off of the terminals.

Yeah... likely battery damage, a big time scare, and a burn on my hand. F THAT!

Good rule of thump is go by what fuse size is being used in these amps. The higher the more amperage it pulls, this is what I look at.

I'll stick a 300 amp fuse in a potato and sell it to you for $2k.

^ haha! No doubt. It was bad... everything went into slow motion too. There wasn't time for anything else. No way to unhook or cut wires, no way to pull each 65 lb battery, nothing.

In about a second, that wrench had begun to glow a bit. Right in the middle of the wrench, the chrome just went away. That joker stayed hot for like 10 minutes afterward too. Oh man- straight scary stuff.

I'm not sure whether or not this really works, but I picked up some liquid electrical tape and an extra imperial wrench set from Home Depot. I basically painted my wrenches with the "tape," and ONLY use those wrenches for audio & electrical.

I haven't tested them out haha.. But this may be something worth noting.

Since a car is only running between 12-14 volts that sounds like it would work, or at least drastically reduce any potentially large shocks

Fucking love Alan you goddamned fucking super nerd lol

When Alan uses big words I don't understand

It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out.

Everytime I see a guy driving a mini cooper I cant help but think he loves cock & (2/29/16)-My wife just bitched at me about throwing out things we don't really use. My response of well we don't really use your vagina so should we throw that out was evidently not the right response. I had to leave the room.

I missed Alan.

RIP 5/29/15 - I love you son.

works perfect, If we dont have our insulated tools on us when we work with power. We just wrap our tools in electrical tape works like a charm.
