your could get the XXX's (sq) from RE with the 4000watt amp if you dont care about price...but those xxx's are pricey from what i know

as ive herd... i wonder what price i could get

theres no such thing as too expensive when it comes to upgrades like that, because imo if you are gonna spend to upgrade then do it correctly rather then be a cheap ass ricer

Well if you can get RE's at Fi's price.... I guess you could flip a coin? Personally Id go with Fi... the whole custom options thing is sweet

If you just want somethign with a smaller price point yeah get the Fi, if you want something that sounds cleaner get the RE. I've still yet yto see any Fi installation that sounds as good as an SE,MX, or XXX. Until something they make comes close i'll never call the Q a SQ sub.

And seriously the polls going to point to buying 1 thing no matter that you truely wanna but the polls gonna say Fi, as thats the "popular" sub here

^^x2

i would choose RE over FI if price was not an issue...both are great products, but from my limited experience, i slightly favor RE. and with all of the hype being built up around FI (and rightfully so), especially here, the poll is gonna say go with FI.

i likes me some audio stuff...

SQ of MOST subs is ONLY as good as the box tuning, the way its aimed, the car its installed in and the rest of the system (mids/highs and everything that comes with proper tuning). RE OR Fi would both be a good choice, both are about the same in my eyes.

The rest of the system will determine SQ not just the label on the dust cap. Fi is a popular sub here because they kick ass, just like the RE's do. Why do you go out of your way to make people think Fi woofers dont sound good? You really need to quit doing that, its bullshit.

im not going out of my way, just stating that every setup ive heard of them is nothing near the sound quality level people are led to believe.

Q's sounds like shit to me, im not gonna sit here and tell people they dont, theres more people here who think the same they just dont come out and say it. I've had numberous people with alot of experience with subs play with the Q and get the same results (it either missing notes, and i dont mean because of box tuning, or it just not sounding good on anything with a fast bass response) If i hear a setup that doesnt have these problems then sure i'll give them props and say they are up there with RE subs, but i'll probably never be of the mind that they are the "same".

The other thing, is alot of people seem to think a Q can take so much power over thier RMS, and again in numberous occasions i have seen the voice coils darkining with only 200-300 over thier reccomended RMS, i dont say thats a Fi problem after all Scott clearly states they are only recommended to 1000rms. To say my opinion on its bullshit without even knowing any reasons behind why i say so is kinda lame but i guess as i so you have your opinion.

You run Fi they work for you, I have ran the X, Q, and BTL and they werent to my liking. The X wasnt loud enough for me, (not Fi's fault its entry level) the Q i just dont like the sound of it period, sealed, ported, tline, i havent liked it at all, its loud yea but it doesnt sound good to me when its missing notes on numberous different setups. The BTL i just am not into that type of sub, (i dont like the MT either though) again BTL and MT for that matter are loud, they just dont sound clean enough for me.

I'd take a SE or SX for that matter over a Q all day long, and id take a MX or XXX for sound reasons over the BL all day, just from what Scott says the BL is , a Q with less SQ and more SPL. Sorry if you dont agree with what i have to say, but thats my reasoning for downing all the hype on a sub that i feel is a great bang for the buck but not a end all be all., like it seems alot of people here seem to think it is.

its not that your opinion is bullshit....its more like your on a personal mission to down on the Fi woofer or something, and that part is bullshit.

i still stand by what i say.....your opinion is just that your opinion. I still stand by the rest of your system determining the SQ of your system and not the sub. Missing notes? where did they go? Unless its bad box tuning i dont see how that can happen.

If Scott designed all the woofers you mentioned, why do you think he would turn around and design something shittier and try and sell it?

Again, Fi and RE is just about the same to me......design your system correctly and it will sound good.
