Bump for a new headunit to ads to the list!

Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD

Only scoped the sub out as I'm not running a 4 channel and I'm not pulling my dash back apart

I used my TPI scope plus 440

EQ was flat

Clip free at 40/40

Only weird thing I notices was at volume 38/40, the voltage was 2.8

39/40 it jumped to 3.6

40/40 was 4.6

what was your sorce level set at when u did this 0 or -.I scoped mine and it clipped at volume 24.

DD-1 on my AVH 3300 BT... 40/40 no clipping.

For realz. I am installing my AVH 3300 BT this weekend, hopefully. 40/40 no clipping great. But i would be interested to see if everyone gets the same results using the DD1 with the same HU's?

Well, as SMD showed me recently with the help of the DD1, my Kenwood Excelon X792, starts to clip at 33 (out of 35) on the sub ch, and 34 on the mids / highs (or maybe that's vica-versa ;))

Either way, with most stuff, I can get it REALLY loud, at 32, then adjusting my separate bass boost + mids/highs, and mid-bass settings in the deck. On not so loud recordings, I will push it up to 33.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I do have a question for Steve, or anybody here who knows the answer though....
What if I have a particularly low recording, and I have to push it up to 34 or even 35, to make it loud enough ? Will these tracks still include distortion, even though the amp is not even working, and the music sounds "not loud enough to be clipping" ?
It's funny, I have a few tracks that I've been playing at 32 on my deck, that sound scary loud ! .....like, I wouldn't wantr to do that too long, or on a hot day, while I've got a few other tracks which seem totally safe / easy on the system, at 34 ???
Hmmmmm....
