BeatBox
this is all you need. http://www.amazon.com/E-Z-EZRB790C-Hammer-Indent-Crimper/dp/B002XMSCW6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1286131402&sr=8-1 the crimper is spring loaded. you put the wire in the terminal, put the terminal under the punch, then wack that bastard with a hammer. it crimps everything between 8ga and 4/0. basically, anything you would need for power application in a car. i use one and it is the bees knees. might have to get me one of those in the future! never even heard of it til now... R_Mac_1
Soldering ring terminals onto power wire is actually very easy. I just watched a couple tutorials on youtube, bought me a little torch from Lowe's and tried it. Came out great on my first try. 2002 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi Pioneer DEH-P6000UB Alpine SPX-17REF 6.5" components (active) Sundown SAX-50.4 Sundown z15 (3 cubes @ 35 hz) Sundown SAX-1200D 2006 Buick Rainier CXL AWD V8 Stock Bose system 12" Alpine Type E in aeroported box Profile AP1000M

Robert8252
Buy some decent gauge solder. Buy a propane torch head for like 5 bucks. Put terminal in a vice. Heat up and fill with hot solder. Insert wire, twist a few times, remove heat, blow on it for fun and you're done and never have to worry about a poor connection or yanking a wire loose. 2013 F150 Crew Cab Old Build Log Feedback 2013 F150 Equipment - Some Awesome Stereo Sound Making Stuff
