Wiring Batteries...Series of Parallell...

Recommended Posts

I know I've put up a few extra posts today, but bare with me. I'm puttin four extra batteries in the hatch of my tahoe. What is the correct way to wire them. In a series, positive from one battery to the negative of the other, or in a series where both positives and both negatives are hooked together. I know what this does to Ohms when wiring speakers and amps, but I have no idea what effect this has on batteries.

all you need to remember is:

parallel=reserve capacity increase

series=voltage increase

Most peoples wire it down to parrallel but not series.. I don't see the point of wiring down to series when you got bank of battery... uhmmm..Unless you're charging it then that something different.. I think...
