bmph8er Posted January 19, 2011 Report Posted January 19, 2011 my girl now has a dropped 95 civic with 2 memphis 12s in a vented box. this summer shes selling the subs and amp and swapping to a single 12 and 1000 plus watts in a vented box sealed off from the trunk. she likes bass just cant handle to much. she didnt like my walled s10 for long but i got a feeling she will hate my seirra as soon as she hears it. but shes alright shes wantn more highs and a high amp now lol 2001 gmc seirra 5.3 auto 3.73 locked rear, long tube headers, offroad y pipe, duals, cai, black bear tune, 2/4 drop, 22s, rockford fosgate mods and highs and 4 ab hd 15s and a ab 750.1 1995 civic 1.5 auto slower then hell, dropped on coil overs, ex hub caps, 2 12 trunk, have 450 bucks in the car and gets 35 mpg 1992 s10 being bagged, shaved, and small stereo. right now a pile of parts

inm Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 My girl has no problem with it, unless she doesn't feel good (which is the case with a lot of people, I suppose) I have 3 12" Kickers in a ported box, so it's nothing special, but she said it's definitely louder than anything she's heard before, and it doesn't bother her at all. I can't say the same about one of my best friends though. I turn it up just a little, and he starts complaining that his ears hurt. It's kind of funny, actually. I don't think some guys give girls enough credit. Most of the time, the only reason they aren't into stuff like this, is because they weren't raised or like, encouraged to try it. There is nothing gender specific about car audio, it's technical, and LOUD but any girl could get into that, like mine <3. Same goes for hockey like you said, or anything else that's more of a "guys" thing. There's no reason your gf will automatically hate car audio. Just introduce her to it the right way, and don't force it on her. I think you are exactly right man. Most of the girls i have met/dated that started off hating loud systems came to like them over time because i would explain to them about why i liked the shit and showed them how much i was into audio and they would come to understand and appreciate my love for audio... It was the same way with Drag Racing.. My girl doesn't mind bass, She just wants as much attention as my trucks get. She does however hate how much I spend on audio and all the equipment I have laying around the house. She has a Rockford P300.1 and an Alpine S 12" in a ported box, She drives a small compact hatch so its actually decently loud. lower tuning is just hard.
