Steve, Since everyone else is telling you what you should build, I figured I would as well. You should get a case that is off white, not bright white, not flat white, not antique white, but one that is egg shell white. It's what I would do when spending Chicken's money

ya my current one is a Corsair and i love it. Been a great looking and operating case. as far as CS at newegg...i did call them. He basically said "thats the way it is for some reason".....and i politely told him i wasn't upset at HIM because he just works there......but to tell his boss i was about to give someone else 2 stacks for "that reason".

trips me out how a computer can be outdated so fast. This thing is still holding its own a year later and i am still blown away by what it can do.......BUT, the shit that is out now shits all over it LOL

That's kind of how this place is now. Someone shows what they got, then people say, oh you should have gotten this or trade it for that. :/ I just ignore those people, if everyone did, they would stop. Self-governance is wonderful but I suppose online where there is no identity such a suggestion is heresy. Excellent component choice anyhow my last big PC build had an original XPower in it, loved that board. Yeah you just ignore those people... but imagine you have 10 times the amount of people telling you what you should do like steve would have. Can see how it could get annoying. Easier to just cut it out from the start. Not arrogance. I can imagine which is precisely why I would have worded it differently, personally. Maybe something like "This is not open to suggestions since I have already decided on the components. I know some of you are also experienced in this field and I thank you for looking." I like Steve's work and I have not met him (unfortunately) he seems like a good guy who gets a bad rep in many places online for comments like that with no real ill intention. Again, the PC is top-knotch and I haven't seen that line of power supply from Corsair yet, gonna have to check them out. Ya right. I could post (what you said) and send cookies, milk, and candy to their front door......and someone would STILL get their feelings hurt. I get a bad rap on some sites because those guys are disrespectful internet cowards with big ass internet mouths. I get a bad rep when i don't take their shit on youtube or anywhere else i see it. If someone tells me, "your car is a piece of shit, you should push it off a cliff"......and i say, "ya, maybe with you inside of it" - then they run off and tell all their internet fuck-buddies that i am a dick, when they are the ones who started it. fuck them and fuck anyone who has something bad to say about me. #UD# is right. You can only use 2 GTX 690's in SLI due to the 4-chip limit (the 690 has 2 chips per card). The same limit applies to AMD's CrossFireX. 4 GTX 680's would theoretically outperform 2 GTX 690's due to their higher chip clocks but at 200+ frames per second it's not going to make a difference to anyone in the world. Plus the GTX 690's have the absolute upper hand in the BAMF category. The PassMark link that was posted is useless in this scenario. The benchmark only uses one of the two chips on the GTX 690 card. Given that the chips on the 690 are slightly slower than the chips on the 680 in order to cut power consumption (there's a limit on what one board can pull for power) it makes sense that the 680 would outperform one half of the 690. Can't wait to see this thing all built up! Pick a killer case Steve!

English dude.. english lol i will explain better, it is because the GTX 690 is like 2 video cards in 1 circuit board (essentially 2 GTX 670 in one PCB) and the SLI system only allows for a maximum of 4 way SLI (4 grafic cards) witch it would be 2 GTX 690s

I just would like to point out that you cant use 3 GTX 690s in SLI because the GTX 690 is a Dual GPU card thus it already have a 2 way SLI on its own, that beeing said if you have 2 of them its a 4 way SLI if you had 3 of them it would be a 6 way SLI witch is impossible you can use 3 GTX 680s in 3 way SLi tho
