wouldn't be an argument if i didn't see a 6.5db claim. That is completely outrageous. Even with extreme variables. I wouldn't have even commented if it was something believable.

The measurement the DD1 takes is different then the measurement you see in a scope. A scope is showing you a sinewave. As the voltage increases you will see the wave square off when the signal can no longer produce that wave effectively A DD1 measures THD. The DD1 measures the point at which the distortion ( not square wave) becomes dirty in the signal past it's preset reading point. Now, there can be a wide gap between the point where the dd1 reads at it's set point to the point where you see the scope signal start to square off. This can be a big THD percentage number depending on the product. It'snot hard to read up on exactly what Total Harmonic distortion is guys.

the funny thing is, i go out of my way to NOT discredit the scope when selling my product. I discredit the ear-o-meter and the DMM for setting gains but NOT the scope. I tell people NOT do buy the DD-1 if they don't believe in it but to AT LEAST get a scope. I am not anti-scope. But the tales are tall if you thnk people gonna believe 6.5db increase. That is ridiculous as it gets. After reading what you wrote about the overlap tracks it is obvious nobody has ever taught you the basics and what the -5, -10 tracks are actually there for.

Could i possibly request that all post be deleted and just left with the video? All I wanted to do was show the DD1 being used in conjunction with one of the more popular oscopes in and everyday application and not shown by Steve in his shop. I just wanted people to see that this can be used for your everyday person and is a quality tool.

I would have to see that test on video with the dd1 showing the output voltage vs the oscopes output voltage to believe that. The DD1 showed me distortion at 213.2v, and to my eye, I could see clipping at 219v. At least in my case, 6v is not going to make 6+db more. Something was done differently or turned up louder to get 6db more.

i think we might hook up the 7' towers i built for him like 5 years ago to each side for some tremendous sound....but for more serious battle, i got him those 7.1 wireless Logitech headsets. They sound AMAZING to me.

Thanks. I knew exactly what was going to happen, but just wanted to show a scope vs the dd1 for all of the idiots that just dont believe. I usually use both when tuning my amps, just because I like to know what my output voltage is. BUT I ALWAYS go by the DD1 and not by what I can see on the scope!

Nah man i dont belive it its all bs he must have used magical effects on it (insert sarcasim) LOL Hell dude i used it on all of the systems that i install and to this day are still banging and putting in work..A HELLA of a lot more better than going off by ear sure i could get it pretty close enough or just a little off but this this is dead on accurate cant deny results
