Hello SMD Forums! I am looking for some opinions on a ported box i designed for a SA-8 D4 V2 subwoofer. It will be powered for now with an Alpine MRP-M500 pushing 500w @ 2ohms but from what i've read i should get something with a better sub-sonic filter this amp only has a 15 hz filter I have an area about 21x13x13 to use and this is the box i would like to put it in. It's about 0.62 ft cubed after sub & port displacement if i did my math right. I don't want or need it to hit the super low gut wrenching bass i just want it to hit a little lower than the Alpine 12" Type S in a sealed bassworx box i am currently using. What do you folks think? given the criteria i have, is this what i should be putting it in? Thank you advance for suggestions and opinions.

14" or port would be great in .75 cube box. im currently building a box for 2 of these and talking with sean of sundown, he says they do best in a .75 cube box

yes. most sq guys shoot for about a 29Hz tuning spl guys shoot for the peak of the car(usually between 42 and 60). from my experience with this sub and what you want i would go with 35Hz also.

Time to design the fan system. I plan on having 4 large fans pulling air in, 4 blowing on the T2500's, and 4 blowing air out. This is just me mocking them up. Now that i know what will fit, i need to make the sides air tight so they can funnel the air AND so it will look good. I am planning on having a few plexi windows so you can see the amps on one side and the compressor system on the other side.
