about to try to give away a $300 amp that came directly outta my pocket....can i get a like?

I must be a serious audio-head. I got a pre-op EKG yesterday and when they showed me the paper all i could think of was whether or not i was clipping. results were perfect (under 1% THD, certified mode) - btw: surgery tomorrow, getting a non-cancerous lump removed from my neck. They are gonna knock me out for this one...wish me luck. Im'a need it. Just getting my blood drawn was enough to make me almost hit the floor LMAO.

Today, as i was testing my Crown XTR-4000 for this weeks Amp Test Tuesday, i blew an internal fuse pushing it to its limit So i ran to the store and grabbed the first amp i could find that looked decent. The Hifonics Brutus was the only amps on the shelf with CEA 2006 stamped on the side of the box. This was on sale for $299.99 so i bought it. I tested it on the same 14v bank that i always use. I used the same 10a XS Power intellicharger (HF1415) that i always use, to keep the batts topped off in between runs. I tested @ 1ohm in all three modes and for a bonus, i dropped it down to .8 ohms for one dynamic burst RMS dyno run. The amp did not like .6 ohms. It went into protect. So my next question is, who wants it? Guess the exact TOTAL of all FOUR numbers combined and it is yours. Certified RMS @ 1ohm (test stops @ 1% distortion) - x,xxx watts un-certified RMS @ 1 ohm (test stops @ clipping) - x,xxx watts dynamic burst RMS @ 1 ohm (test stops @ clipping) - x,xxx watts dynamic burst RMS @ .8 ohms (test stops @ clipping) - x,xxx watts add all those ^^^ up, guess a number, win it! I will post the video tomorrow around 3pm pacific standard time.

I think i am sticking with plan C! Instead of modding the "plan A and B" box to fit the 15, i said "f#$K it" and built it all nevw from scratch. This time i used all 1" with exception of the bottom board (due to fitment issues). Its ok though, the bottom board is on the floor of the trunk so its plenty thick. I will probably do some glassing as well. This will be a LONG build so hang tight i cant do it all in one day! FYI: all RF amps and hopefully 3 sets of T5 components to go with this... Time to cut the port. It has 51" of area. It is 8.5x6" and 14" long. Tuning 38hz.

yes To get more output you have to increase cone area or power, well you doubled your cone area but if your power is half of what it was then output should be about the same

if there both dual 2s you can only wire at .5 ohm or 2 ohm. What do you mean by wired separately did you just stick the leads of each sub on the amp +- and +-?

dude that is funny you say that because i asked about scarring. He said there might be a small one. I am sitting in the office sleeved up talking about hell ya ill get a new tatt! hahah

thanks! but why are you telling me i should remove a set of tweeters? LOL If your tweeters were louder then your woofers you probably had them to close to your earhole and that is all you were hearing. My setup doesn't scream in my ear. They are positioned well and tuned correctly. What are you talking about "clearer imaging", you never even heard this before. Thanks anyway for the advice but ill pass.

i´ve always said it, the hifonics brutus line does rated or very close to rated, i know you cant compare it with dc, sundown or whatever brand you guys like, but, if you want a cheap brand new amplifier, those things can definitely work for ya, my swift was loud and moved tons of air with those things a couple of years ago, very nice vid, tuesday is one of my favorite days of the week now
