The one way to my skin is through my heart. Over the years i have gotten my daughter (Miranda) (my very first tattoo), the wife, and both of my sons names on me. Same for my grandparents names on both wrists and a portrait of my momma on my inner arm. Tonight i got an extra special tattoo. My grandsons name. This spot is a little sensitive but he is worth it. If you notice some swelling on the neck it's because we touched up the last tattoo just a little bit while i was still sitting. Anyhow, this is my little boogie butt and I. I can't express how much i love being his grampa. And then of course some tattoo pics. It's totally red and swollen, the tattoo is only about 30 minutes old as i type this but in the pic was fresh off the needle we love racing together

as a thank you gift for designing and building a box for local guy running (4) 15 lvl5 and (2) 5k's. i was now the new owner of a couple M3 8" subs. So i figure what better what to show these off than throw them in my sons powerwheel. Here is the almost finished product. Still need to hook up the amp and headunit. but you get the idea Top view showing the (2) 8's and a 3" port and the seal of approval from my 4yr old after he helped me wire the subs Hope you enjoy

I came in yesterday and built this bad boy... a customer had ONE unit on order for a bit and I got a pair of the Aluminum sleeves as samples so I am building this one and one other one this week (both with fat 8-layer coils and are single sub orders). These also don't call for any Gap ID sleeves as they use the fat coil -- so I have enough parts to make them :thumbsup: ----- * Collecting the parts up. * You can see the black coated aluminum pole sleeve in place on the pole but not Gap ID sleeve -- so the overall gap is still pretty massive. The "fat" coil fills it up nicely, though. * Starting the rear glue joint * Rear glue joint completed * Prototype "XL" lead wire option. The XL spiders for the NS v.3 are EXTRA red in color. The stock spiders are a very faint reddish with smaller triple lead wires. These leads are prototypes for now -- we'll offer them later as an option for anyone. * It was interesting to get these all in the terminal. * Finished product * Finished product ----- So I hope to get it tested and dust cap on today :thumbsup:

Different subs all together. ZV4 has a bigger magnet, flatwound coil, different spider pack. It can handle more power. It's the next step in their lineup SA is to X as X is to zv4 DC level 4 is to level 5 as X is to zv4

We will have an option for other cone / surround combos down the line; which will actually be usable on all drivers with the new frames (X, Z v.4, and NS v.3) Really cone area is of minimal concern -- it's about 0.3dB different than a standard Z v.3 surround by cone area alone. For SPL the "issue" is that the new surrounds are heavy; they represent most of the mass other than the coil on these drivers. This extra mass is great for low frequency extension and all of the new motors are designed to handle the mass well; but not so much for SPL where you want the FS to go up since FS is derived from stiffness and MMS. So the optional cones with smaller surrounds primarily serve to shave off moving mass and increase the FS.

You do need to brace the roof on that truck. Are you set on a wall? You can fit 2 18s below the window line.

So since we had another round of sleet and snow over the weekend I spent some time Sunday playing with this project. Rules state the meter is placed at the face of the windshield/dash area of the Powerwheel and has to be 12" from the port. So to concentrate the air coming out of the meter I went from a 3" port down to a 1/2" port. Should give a nice jet stream of air right into the meter. This will just be for competing. For daily play the elbow and 1/2 port will twist off for normal listening. Also is a shot under the hood since a lot of people are asking what kind of battery I run.

For 99% of the people buying subs, the CF cone is completely useless for anything other than looks. The guys who will actually see the benefit of this cone, are your extreme competitors who are pushing their equipment to the max. One particular situation that these would work for everyday build, is in a multiple sub 4th order setup, or any 4th or 6th order setup where you have subs directly in the port or subs closer to the front of the box next to the port where those sub unloading can become an issue and shred the paper cone. If you really need this cone, trust me you already know that you need it and what the benefits of it will will. For everyone else, its just sex appeal for your sub.
