Check out these vids that Doug from Soundman recently posted. First and foremost, it is of course a great demonstration of how great SMD Sunflash is. Once you try it you will not want to go back. But besides that, the technique that Doug used to build these is something i haven't seen before. It's worth a look. I also love the use of the mirrors to put sunlight into the panel to hit the resin. Haven't seen that before and i will definitely copy that! part 1 and 2...i would imagine there will be more vids later.

I'd suggest a quick little shake down weekend. You would be surprised at the shit you forget in the 1st couple trips out. Sucks to make a long haul out to a spot to spend the 1st half of the trip lookin for a target or a camping supply shop.

We have shipped some out. I know I personally build 5 so far -- I just do a few here and there when I get time Should see some videos and stuff soon. We are starting to tear into the X v.2 orders -- we had a MASSIVE order for the last of the X v.1 to work on before we could get rolling full force.

picture this...someone pulls up to your shop (or garage). They complain that they keep blowing up tweeters or woofers....or whatever. You plug in the new dd-1+ and probe the outputs. Without even touching his system settings, you can see what his overlaps are set at already. Don't be surprised if you probe a problem system and find someone +22db over and wondering why they can't keep a tweet On mids/highs i normally wouldn't want to be to much over 5db of overlap. So you fix him up, and record the NEW overlaps (say you chose 4db). Write that down and next time he shows up, you can probe it and see if anyone f#cked with the settings. If it says 8db, you know his "buddy" helped turn up the volume for him (aka turned his gain up). Warranty voided. I might include some round stickers to go over the gain pot so when you are done you cover them up and avoid temptation
