First let me start out by saying, i haven't had a car payment in 2.5 years. I paid my last car off so fast i have been off the hook for a while now. I have been thinking of a new Tahoe for a few years but i wanted to wait until the body style was new. Today, we officially recieved our US Patent for the SMD DD-1 so i decided to go ahead and just take a look at what is out there. The Tahoes were all very nice. But when i got in the Escalade it was game over. But it was a little out of my budget. I was trying to talk them down just a little but he said he had an all black, fully loaded 2015 (used) with only 20,000 miles on it. He asked if i was interested...i said HELL YA, as long as it wasn't a smoker or dog owner (well at least the dog didn't ride in it). I don't like used car smells, i like new car smells. But this thing is basically still new. Smells new and i got 7 year, 100,000 mile warranty on it. I got a pretty good deal i think But that is beside the point. I am already thinking of what i want to do. Already called my boys at Wilwood brakes before i even got there just in case i did get something Who knows how long before i can start anything on it, i have to settle into having a car payment again before i spend money on it. I already got the post car-purchase jitters right now. But that happens every time. to be continued! Oh, just to let you guys know, i worked my ass off for this 800 score! I finally touched it! Not bad from someone who had no hope of being above 500 at one time.

no. If you pay your bills OFF fast like i do, it isn't "living in debt". I hardly call paying a 6 year loan (My Lex) off in 2 years "living in debt". Same for my RZR, paid it in 1.5 years on a 5 year loan. Not in debt. But i got 800 credit out of it. If you live off cash nobody has documented, (shareable) proof that you are trust-able. Credit is just proof whether you are, or are not trustable. If you have none there is no way to establish either way. Doesn't mean you are or aren't...just no way for someone to be able to see for sure. I hear what you are trying to say though.

Thought i would throw this together since im wiring up some batteries over in my build section. Ive had a few people ask me how i do it so here it is. This stuff is going into a PURE SPL Honda CRX. It will burp not play music very well. Anyway here is the soldering portion of the install. Here it is sorta "mocked up" how its going to be in the rex. Those are Kinetic 2400's Using ALL Rockford 1/0.....of course! Trimmed back about 1/2" and a 1/0 lug slapped on Grab you a decent propane torch and some solder. I use 60/40 rosin core solder. This will take practice but you will feel like you know something if you get the hang of it. I always get it nice and hot before starting. But i never use the flame itself to melt the solder. Heat up the BACK side of the lug preferably up higher by the hole at first. This allows the solder to melt up higher and slide down and into the wire pocket. This also saves you from melting the crap out of the wire jacket. you want to feed the wire and lug by pushing it against the hot surface and NOT the flame itself.......just keep pushing, get as much as you can in there without making it slip out the bottom and dripp everywhere. I do this until it is flat smooth puddle of shiny solder on the top. The trick is you need that wire to wick the solder or its no good. Now i heat it up toward the bottom of the lug until i see the wire underneath pull the solder into it. Pull back so it goes down gently and then let it cool a little bit. The wire should be saturated in solder now. Now i thow another pool over the top by heating up the lug up by the top hole again and letting it fall down into a smooth flat surface. Make sure it fuses with the lug all the way around and your done.

Congrats on the patent and the new rig! Funny enough I hadn't checked my credit in a while because I haven't had any payments that reflect on it for 6+ years, but I did a couple weeks ago and I was just over 800 myself. Good feeling, isn't it? My wife got herself in trouble before we met and was down around 550. She financed our Tempur-Pedic and setup auto-pay to be paid off before the interest hits, which has raised her to over 700 now. Much more comfortable with that as I had to finance our first house myself before we got married--two of us combined was too low and if we would have married first we wouldn't have gotten it. I've also been looking around here for another thing you might need soon--a bigger shop!

the toy hauler is over 10,000 fully loaded. The Caddy is only rated to 7300lbs (or 8,000 something like that). Eco-boost will shit on the caddy all day long towing
